Where can i find this segment for my lathe?
It's the part where you put the wood. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's called the mandrel. Where can i find one for a Wilton Model 99177 Lathe?
Not familiar w/ Maker or what you tight by a mandrel.
Could be a shank w/ a threaded shaft , nuts & washers that can be used for buffing or grinding wheels or to turn pieces w/ a center hole.
Almost all woodlathes use a chuck, spur or screw center on the "live" (drive end) & bubble bearing or cup centers on the "dead" end.
They are friction fit into the hollow ends of the shafts using "Morse Taper"shanks
If you know or can find out the taper used , any lathe auxiliary w/ the same taper can be used.
The live & dead centers will hold the same taper & if you have any just get one to meeting at any outlet that sells woodlathes
Lenghths can vary which will effect the scope of taper.
For woodlathes , most likely a No1 taper which i believe is 12mm at the wide extension.
