I am redo my son's room. His ceiling is lathe and plaster.?

The plaster is covered with wallpaper, paint, more layers of wallpaper and even so more paint. My husband and I have scraped most of it off, but one side of the room is not going as very well as the other. It looks as if they used a different type of glue on one side.....it's orange surrounded by color. Any tips for removal?

but call a hardware store or a home upsurge store and ask to speak with someone in their chemical or paint department. they can giveu better suggestion.
