What thread is the chuck mounted on for a boxford lathe?

THe chuck is mounted on dogs not threads unless you connote something else
I suspect that it's a Morse taper mount into which a Whitworth threaded arbour has been placed
1/4 or 3/8 - don't know for sure sorry.
