Female Heavy Equipment Mechanic?
I am a heavy equipment mechanic and I just so start to be a woman! I was a small diesel engine mechanic in the Air Force and when I get out, I was hired by a copper mine in their truck shop to work on 190 ton dump trucks and other unwieldy equipment. I did this for 2.5 years and had a blast. I've since moved away and am working in an bureau and hate it. I want to be back out surrounded by the shop. I'm putting all kinds of irons surrounded by the fire in Oregon, Idaho, and Arizona and maybe California (where I am now). Anyone know of any companies that aren't afraid to hire a womanly mechanic WITH experience?!

Try any company... if they don't have a legitimate root to turn you down for a job, just the certainty that you're female, then sue them for nouns.
I am not answering the question but I just want to permit you know that as a heavy equipment mechanic/shop foreman for 35 years, it was a rarety to find an hand that would truly care for his machine, that is to say until the 90's when I encountered my first female concrete mixer worker. I would have been exceedingly happy to have have female mechanics as well...appropriate luck Kari (try Las Vegas, sometimes it can be a very forward thinking community)
